This week nearly 3000 families will be given a relief packet of food in 24 affected villages.
Health Care will have a medical team ministering next week with Bob McGurty, Rick Salvato, and Bill Graham. They will serving along side TOUCH Bangladesh (an AG Community Development Program) team of ladies in a few of the harder hit areas. Convoy of Hope will also have Rick Ryan on site beginning next week.
The Bangladesh Assemblies of God church has been serving in the affected areas. They have been able to start the repair of churches and help some of effected familes from all faiths that they have been able to minister to. They are now focusing their efforts on the following:
$20 Non-Food Relief Packet of: Blanket (Winter now), Sari/Lungi (Clothes), Candles/Matches, Water Tablets
$250 Rebuild one home. (average as each home is different) Photos of effected homes at included in a seperate email.
$1000 Rebuild 4 Homes
$1000 Repair a church (roof and/or damage from trees) We are still waiting for a site by site estimate on this.
$60000 can buy a cyclone shelter that will also be used as a school/church. This will also help in flood times. Basically its a building on pillars. these are the places that significantly lowered the loss of life.
